CUSTOMERS
BTS's technology has been proven in the
marketplace.
BTS has recently deployed their first
freeway performance measurement system in a state DOT.
This system collects data from six remote
districts and transports it in real-time to our central
location. It then processes the data, applying our diagnostic,
filtering, imputation and aggregation routines. Finally,
the results are used to identify long-term trends on the
freeways and to compute various performance measures for
the system as a whole.
BTS has given multiple seminars to academic
teams wanting to implementing a transportation system data
warehouse. By drawing on it's real-world experience BTS
was able to rapidly bring the team members up to speed on
a wide variety of topics, including data warehouse schema
design, loop data diagnostics and filtering, high availability,
web site user interface design, and freeway performance
measurement systems.
The employees of BTS have done a number
of projects for other transportation consultant companies.
These range from quantifying the level of service in various
spatial and temporal regions to published academic studies
on the proportion of congestion on freeways due to recurrent
versus non-recurrent causes.
