Solutions: Performance Management

The Freeway Performance Measurement System is BTS's flagship product. It leverages BTS's warehousing platform to aggregate the data and to compute performance measures. On top of these computations it has an extensive set of reporting tools to allow visualizations and animations that are custom-built for transportation engineers. The key features include:

• Computation of standard transportation performance measures, including VMT, VHT, Delay, Level of Service, Density.
• Computation of travel time and travel time reliability measures, including Buffer Time Index, Travel Time Index and other descriptive statistics.
• Huge number of reports ranging from low-level values of flow versus time to high-level values of VMT per month for the entire region over years. And everything in between.
• Imputation of missing and bad detector values in real-time.
• Ability to either user reported speed or compute speed based on flow and occupancy on a per detector basis.
• Ability to export every report to a plot, an HTML table, a CSV text file, or a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
